Just A Nice Box

We designed a box. It’s a really nice box and we asked people to use it to give gifts that can’t be purchased.

Don’t give us some present you bought at the mall. We don’t want something just because it’s a holiday. We want a present we have to think about. A present that doesn’t come with instructions. A present we will remember. Something that makes us cry or laugh or just stare in utter disbelief. Something impossible or broken, or beaten up or already used. A present that smells like someone we love.

We want something no one else would ever want. Presents that are stories and private jokes that only we understand. An old brooch wrapped in a concert t-shirt. A measuring tape can be a powerful thing.

We made a box. A really nice box. We tried to make it perfect because what you put inside is very valuable. Our boxes are specially-designed to hold stories. If you don’t buy our box, please steal our idea. Give something you didn’t buy that only you could give.

Use our box or find one of your own and give a gift that can’t be purchased.

Collaboration with my gifted friends, Tom Weis and Nathan Phillips.
